Agenda - Senior Adult Educators- Recognising their Competences Conference
Validation and recognition of competences is a centrepiece of lifelong learning, becoming a priority for national and European vocational education and training policies within the last decade.
Flexi-Path is an important new approach, funded by the European Commission, which recognises the objectives of Europe 2020 in making Education and Training more focused on what learners can do in terms of their skills and experience in employment. Flexi-Path provides a systematic approach to analysing and validating senior adult educators competence profiles at EQF Level 6 and 7 through the construction of a professional portfolio.
The aim of the conference is to launch the Flexi-Path Toolkit which is the primary product of an international partnership, in which the ECA acts as the UK partner. The event will also: -
- Discuss the importance of giving adequate recognition of senior adult educators' skills and competences by means of innovative and effective validation instruments.
- Consider the challenges and possible action lines for portfolio building and competence validation for professional adult educators.
The conference will be conducted in English.
